The Crazy Majority

Hi I’m Martin Sherlock, I’m twenty four years old born and
raised in United Kingdom always surrounded by music but not
always interested in it until my teenage years when I brought
my dad’s guitar to college. The strings were far too thick
plus the guitar was horribly out of tune but my classmates
liked it and all huddled around me. Since then every waking
moment was spent either writing a song or pretending to play
"Brighton Rock" like Brian May. I’d play for hours on end
driving my family completely nuts but in a good way! The first
song I wrote was "Crack" which only took about an hour to write
and as I didn’t want to be the destroyer of any more tree's I
wrote on the computer then copy and pasted lines in until I was
happy. I think in order to write good music you have to forget
about what other people will think and concentrate on getting
the song down on paper by all means after you can sift through
it till your hearts content but don’t re write the song when you
are half way through because otherwise you might forget or just
think its too hard and give up! Why you ask do I go by the name
“The Crazy Majority” well I was just thinking about album titles
trying to come up with a catchy name when “The Uttering’s Of the
Crazy Majority” popped into my head and it just really spoke to me.
I still have lots of these moments and I used to dismiss them but
now I accept them. Although a lot of my past you still do not know
I hope in telling you this in some small way will help you reach
for the sky and never feel like your a failure just cause you cant
do something because at the end of the day it doesn’t really matter!
